It wasn’t difficult to pick a place to be my muse for this assignment. This place is a must see if you ask me. It was very high on my bucket list (of places I’d like to visit) and I am not joking: I did a happy dance once we booked our tickets.
Our hotel was in the Garment district and close to Times Square, so I had the opportunity to capture the buzz and people whilst walking around.
As typical tourists, we used the metro system quite a lot. I fell in love with the artwork and if I had more time, I would have taken more pictures. J. was patient, but the New Yorkers were always in a rush 😉
Of course, we also did some exploring in daylight and were not only using the subway. I mapped out all kinds of itineraries before we flew to New York (organized eh?) J and I visited almost all of the landmarks, we went on the Circle line boat tour, walked across the Brooklyn bridge (actually had to run as the rain was closing in) and spent time visiting museums and the big department stores.
I have plenty of pictures to share, so I’ll set up a separate gallery for New York otherwise this post will be huge!
New York, you’ve been short and sweet, an oasis of calm within the chaos and we miss you! Hope to be back soon!
