The blogging / writing 101 assignments – Day 9: Be inspired by the neighbors, reinvent the letter format

Dear little me,

I hope you are doing well.

I’ve heard you have caused quite a fuss when your mom and dad took you home from the hospital. It happened to be the 18th birthday of aunty Em that evening and she celebrated it at grandma’s. Then you arrived, you were born just two days ahead of aunty Em’s birthday bash. You made sure your entrance at the party was known, everyone wanted to see the little first born and wish her well. Aunty Em was not disappointed you stole her thunder that day, although she would not have minded if you would skip the crying for a couple of hours 🙂 In fact, aunty Em adored you..until your baby sister was born a few years later. But don’t worry, she still loves you!

Mommy and daddy gave you wonderful names, at that time these names were quite unique you know. Your first name means the worshipped one in Sanskrit. I guess they thought it was a nice name for their little princess. Your second name originates from Sanskrit as well and is associated with the Hindu god Surya. Your second name means sun . Magnificent isn’t it? You are their little sunshine, the one they worship.

One more tiny detail: they chose to use your second name in daily life, as you are their sunshine and they wish you will enlighten everyone else you will meet in the future. Don’t forget that. They will always love you, unconditionally. It might seem a little thing, but trust me..it isn’t.
